King for a Day~Father's Day!!

Hello again!

I'm baaackkk!! I told you I would be back on later to post a card. I was suppose to post my sons birthday card, but changed my mind. Instead I thought I would post this adorable Father's Day card I made. My Father has passed on, but I still enjoy creating cards for the occasion. For this card I used my Cricut, Cuttlebug, stamping, inking, and my Crafters Companion. I chose the SU deck of cards stamps, card-stock, inks, and matching design papers, along with my MS edge punch. I then cut the sentiments using DS and my Cricut, SB & CS cartridges. The cards are hand cut 3 X's, layered using dimensionals. The inside is finished as well, and the sentiment is computer generated. The envelobox was created with my UCC board. Added a finger folded ribbon, and here you have it. This card has a lot of layering, and is a little heavier, so a regular envelope would not work. Well that's all for now, I will catcha later! TFL!

Got My New Printer~Finally~Yes!!!!

Good Morning All!

Hi~ya everybody, it's about 12:10 a.m., early Sunday morning. Just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone. Well, I got my new printer on Saturday, Yes!!! I just love it, because it is wireless, and I have all four computers networking with it. It prints 11 x 17 size papers, and prints on both sides. It is huge compared to my old printer, which was a nice size, but this one I had to put on a different table. It was hanging over the other table about 9 inches. My daughter Nisha, who is the Computer expert here, set up all the wireless mumbo...jumbo, and html stuff. I was reading the book, and said oh-no, I hope I don't have to call the "Geek Squad." LOL, I will be able to catch up on my designs for The Cutting Cafe, and also download some of those nice images I have seen. I will be back on later today with a card I'm trying to finish for my Son's birthday. Time really sneaks upon you fast, I did'nt realize that his bd is next Saturday, so I need to get this finished. I must say, it is so nice to have a printer again. Check you back later today!

Joy-Fold Card/ Stampin' Up~ So Kind!!

Happy Wed.!!

Hi~ya All!

I hope everyone is well on this "hump" day. We are enjoying some lovely "Hot weather" here today, triple digits. I wanted to post my Joy-fold card on my blog, as everyone is posting theirs on the Cricut MB. I guess I will post mine later, but for now, while this card seems to be the new crave..., I wanted to share it with my cyber-friends. The directions for this card is from Splitcoast Stampers, and I believe it is from July of last year. I actually made one then, but never posted it. If you are looking for an easy and quick card, this is it!!! I used my SU card stock, and DCWV Sweet stack designer paper. The DCWV stack was my birthday gift from my awesome friend Donna. I found that the SU card stock matched it perfectly. The stamps, doily border, and the curly label punch are from SU as well. The inside sentiment stamp is from my stash. I used my little buddy the CB, and some nesties labels for the white and gold cuts. To finish it off, I stamped and then punched out two MS butterflies, layered and added adhesive rhinestones to them. I just love the colors and all the different dimensions this card has. What do you think? Comments are always welcome!!

Don't forget SU is having a great sale on designer papers, and it ends on May 31st. If you would like to order anything, and need a demonstrator, feel free to contact me. Catcha' later!!

Cuttlebug spot DT/~You're So kind!!!

Happy Tues.!

Hi~ya All!

I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday. It seems like it sure did come quickly this year. The first barbecue day, and now we are heading into Summer. This is my CBS~DT/ card for this week. Our challenge was to use blue/brown or blue/orange, or all three colors if you would like. I chose to use blue/brown as I love those colors together. For my card I use the CB folder With Gratitude, for my background and sentiment, and my nesties for the circle cuts. I added a scalloped paper pierced topper, SU designer papers, ribbon and stamped sentiment, with a rhinestone to the flower center. A cute and simple card, I must make more of these. All the card stock and designer papers are by Stampin' Up. If you would like to place an order, and need a SU demonstrator, please contact me. Info is on my side bar under Stampin'Up. They have a great special on their cardstock and designer paper, buy 3 and get 1 free. It is good thru May 31st, when all orders have to be placed. Be sure to check out The Cuttlebug Spot for all the other ladies cards, and also Glenda is sponsoring a sweet prize for this weeks winner! Don't miss it, and come have some fun with us while you're at it. Catcha' Soon!

Graduation Card~ Hats Off!!!

Happy Sun.!!

Hi~ya all,

Just a quick little post tonight, as I needed to put something new on my blog. This is a graduation card I made in black and white. The hat die-cut and the hats on the card-stock are glossy black. I used a black mirror image for the hat and the blackout on the star. It is cut in white and glittered with Dazzling diamonds. The tassel is made out of yarn, I should have bought the white when I had it in my hands. Oh well, I used the gold and added a pearl to it. The grad cap is from the LT cartridge. TFL, and have a great holiday!

Thank You~Teacher's

Happy Thurs.!

Hi everyone,

A quick little post here, as I promised to post these cards today. I was requested by a friend to make a thank you card for her sons teacher. She wanted something very simple and inexpensive. These cuts of paper are from my stash, that I have had for a while, and decided to use it on the cards. I used my Cricut E., and the MTG cartridge which really has some cute cuts on it for school. The apple and the award are from that cartridge. I also used SU's family phases stamps for the sentiment, and doodled in white ink. Added a few embellishments and here you have two simple cards. TFL, and have a great day!

Wildcards~birthday card for Ms. Amber!

Happy Wed.!

Hi~ya All!

How is everyone? I hope all are well and getting ready for the weekend and holiday. Woo~Hoo!! I get a four day weekend, only one more day to go. This is due to my kids, not coming on Friday, so I get an early start. I guess you know what I will be doing... Anyway, this is a simple little bd card I made for one of my ex-daycare kids. I'm a little late, being her bd was earlier this month, but I'm sure she will still enjoy it. She turned 6 yrs. old, and is going to 1st grade. Time sure does fly, I remember when she first came to me, she was only 12 months old. This card was cut from the Wild cards cartridge, in DS. This is only the second time I have used this cartridge for a shaped card, but I can see myself using it again soon. I added colored wire for the phone cord, and some beads to spell out her name. I know she loves telephones, she asked her Mom for a cell phone, lol can you believe it at 6? That is all for today, I did finish up a couple more cards, but will post them tomorrow.
Catcha soon!

Cuttlebug Spot D.T./ ~Merci~~

Happy Mon.!

Hi~ya Everyone,

I hope your Monday is off to a great start. It is a little cooler today than it was yesterday. It reached 105 degrees yesterday, and was super HOT!!!

This week over at The Cuttlebug Spot, our theme was to emboss anything other than card stock or paper. My choice was acetate, and I stamped and inked the edges with white Stazon. I used the Swiss dots folder on the outside, and the Stylized flowers on the inside. Sorry I didn't get a shot of the inside, as I was in a hurry. Anyhow, I used the WC cartridge for my shaped card, and my circle nesties for the front and inside. I added a brad to the center of the flower along with a little tag, which I stamped with SU's Merci~ stamp set. Attached a ribbon and some fuchsia rhinestones, and whaa~laa...., a cute and quick card. TFL, and have a great day.

My Mother's Day Gift/~Sympathy Cards!

Happy Sat.!!

Hi~ya All!!

WOW!! Is it ever hot here. We are having a hot weekend, it is 98 degrees here and it is suppose to hit the triple digits tomorrow. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, and staying cool. I wanted to share with you my Mother's Day gift from my daughter. She surprised me with a photo studio, which was delivered yesterday. What a nice surprise, I wasn't expecting anything. Although it arrived a few days late, it was a big surprise to me, because she just wished me a happy mother's day on the actual day. I love it, and it is so much better than having to use my ott lite. When I am photographing a shot that has mirror image, it tends to give off a glare, and messes with the actual colors. Here are a couple of cards that I shot with my new toy. I can already tell, I'm going to love this! Oh, and I made a promise to myself to use up some of the cut card stock and papers I have in my stash. These cards are from my stash. These are pieces that I have had in a drawer which are excellent for matting a card. Maybe I should start a challenge to use up your stash.
The first card is made with a coated vellum that I used on my Moms Mother's day card last year.
The second card is gorgeous, love that pearlescent on the gold mirror image. These were the other two sympathy cards that I needed to make. Well, I'm working on something for a much more happier occasion. Will catcha later!

No Crafting For Me This Week!!

Happy Thursday!

Hi~ya All!!

I hope you are enjoying your week, and the beautiful weather. It is suppose to reach the triple digits here by the weekend. I guess you know where I will be..., here in my air conditioned craft room. I haven't been able to work on any cards this week, due to my youngest in daycare. Mr Kody, is 5 months and teething. Can't do any crafting when the others are napping, because he is waking up. That is OK, I will get started tomorrow evening. Just wanted to check in and show off my adorable little pumpkin, Mr. Kody...Isn't he just the cutest!!!!

CBS-D.T/~My Mom's Mother's Day Card~!!

Happy Mon.!!

Hi~ya All!!

I hope all of you Moms had a wonderful Mother's Day. This is my card for my Mom, and also it is my Cuttlebug Spot design team card for this week. This week we were to create a card using frames, or window panes. This was such a fun challenge to do, because you could really be creative with the choices. For this card I used a variety of things that was cut or embossed with the Cuttlebug. I also use my Cricut-E for the sentiments, and MS punches for the edges and butterfly. The frame design is popped on SU dimensional for a 3-D look, and I added ribbon, pearls, primas, and some inking. I threaded the ribbon thru the ends of the frames. The inside of the card is finished as well, and I made a envelobox to match. Be sure to visit The Cuttlebug Spot, and see all the awesome creation from the other DT members. If you have the time, come and play along with this weeks challenge. C'mon I know you can do it!! Well, that about does it for now. TFL, and don't forget to drop a comment and tell me what you think!
