Cuttlebug Spot D/T- 4th Of July~My Hero! ~With Mickey!! ~ Fantabulous Challenge #16

Happy Mon.!

Hi~ya All!

I hope everyone is doing well on this last Monday of the month. With this being the last Monday before our 4th of July holiday, our challenge this week at The Cuttlebug Spot is focusing on celebrating our holiday. With that our design team was to create a card to help us celebrate our independence. I normally would do a regular card, and since I haven't been feeling that great the last week, I was stumped as to what I wanted to do. I was looking at my Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge, and since I am such a big Disney fan I wanted to use Mickey too. Normally whenever I would take my vacation time it would always be for the week of the 4th, and I would do Disneyland to celebrate. Since my kids are all adults now, I seem to be the only one who's still crazy about Disneyland, and it's no fun to go by yourself. Anyways, enough about that, on to my card.

I created this card using DS, along with Stand & Salute, and Mickey & Friends Cricut cartridges. The stars and stripes cardstock is a free download from Gina K. designs, and I used my old standby CB folder Swiss Dots, and Christmas Stars which was my BD gift from my Best~est friend Donna M... It is hard to see but the stars were glittered with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. There are about 4 layers of cuts on this card, you might be able to see it from the side view. All in all I thought it turned out pretty darn cute, for someone with no MOJO juices flowing. The navy blue color is a little off, due to me photographing in some bad light last night, but I wasn't feeling putting up my photo studio, had a terrible headache. I am feeling better today, so I hope you will understand. Be sure to visit The Cuttlebug Spot, and check out what my DT sisters has in store for you. There is also a great prize to be won for this weeks participation. I also entered this card in the Fantabulous Cricket Challenge-Challenge Me Monday. Hope everyone has a nice Safe and wonderful 4 of July! Catcha Soon!

The Cuttlebug Spot DT/~ TAGS!!!

Happy Mon!

Hi~ya All!

A very happy Monday, and "HAPPY SUMMER" to everyone. I can't believe this is the first day of Summer, this year is going by so fast. The weather here is still kinda -iffy~not your typical summer weather, only about 72 degrees.

This week over at The Cuttlebug Spot our challenge was to emboss a tag. Now, your tag could be any size, shape or theme. Since yesterday was Father's Day, (my father is deceased), I decided to do a DAD related tag. It can be used for any occasion, birthdays, thinking of you, etc... The tag is cut with my E, along with the embellishments. I used three different CB folders to emboss Harlequin, Mesh, Tiny bubbles and the embellishments are layered. Check out The Cuttlebug Spot and see what my D/T sisters created. You will be surprised that a tag can be spruced up in so many different ways, and while you are at it c'mon and play along with us. Have a great 1st day of Summer! Catcha later!

Using My Gifts & Scraps!! Happy Birthday Card!!

Happy Fri.!

Hi~ya All!

I hope everyone is having a lovely start to their weekend. TGIF!!! I created this card using two gifts I received from Nilda and Kelly. Thank you soo much ladies, I really appreciate them, and since my mojo has taken a vacation, now is the perfect time to do something different for inspiration. I am late getting this posted, I actually made it yesterday and was trying for last night. Don't ya know that the batteries in my camera were dead as a doorknob, so I couldn't upload the files to my computer. When I did get them uploaded the pictures were washed out because of the flash, so I had to start all over again today. Finally, a decent picture!! I am trying to use up some of my papers and cardstock that is in my "Scrap Bin." For this card I used Bazzill bling cardstock for the base, SEI designer cardstock for the background, scalloped frame and flower. The stamp is by Stampendous that I received from Nilda, and the punched flower set is from Kelly, which is the Nellie Snellen punch and emboss set. I colored my image with Copic markers, along with Prisma pencils. Spellbinder nesties were used to cut out the stamped image and scalloped frame which is popped with dimensional for a 3-D effect. The ribbon and pearls are from my stash, along with MS punch for the scallops inside and along the side. The inside is layered and stamped with two different new sets from Stampin' Up! This card will be added to my private stash of cards, as it seems that I miss so many birthdays due to not having a card ready. C'mon ladies, get out those scraps and start creating. Have a great weekend everyone!

The Cuttlebug Spot~"Laying Out At The Spot"~ DT/ Layout!

Happy Mon.!

Hi~ya All!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and are getting off to a great Monday today. It was "HOT" here yesterday, we reached 96 degrees, so the triple digits are sure to be here soon.

This week at The Cuttlebug Spot our challenge was to create a LAYOUT. This is a little out of my league. Now most of you know me, I enjoy creating cards, but I have never done a layout in my life, (this is so not me), lol. But sometimes change can be good for you, as I haven't been in a creative mood it seems like forever.... With everything that was happening last week, I wasn't sure if I was up to this challenge. I was speaking on the phone with my good friend Donna, and told her I might skip this week, and she encouraged me to think about it. So I took her advice "Thanks Donna", and yesterday I gave it a try. See those are the kinds of friends we all need in our lives. Now, I know some of you ladies out there make gorgeous layouts, so don't laugh at this one. BTW, I only made it 8 x 8 in size, and that was quite a challenge in itself to fit everything on here. Just think of it as a mini-version, lol.

Vistors, now you see why comments are so important to us all, it keeps us on our toes, good or bad, I can handle it.

Come and join us over at The Cuttlebug Spot with your creations, and don't forget to visit my D/T sisters blogs too. Have a great week everyone!

Lay-out~ RECIPE:

SU cardstock, CB folders-stars, circles, swiss dots, CB diecuts=Disney Wild Ride!
Cricut cartridges=Mickey & Friends, Mickey Fonts, borders designed in DS.
Nesties, foilboard, glitter, foam stars, white gel-pen.

Scrappin' At My Pad!~ Cricut "Jammies"

Happy Sat.!

Hi~ya all!

I hope you are having a lovely weekend and soaking up some of this sunshine. We did manage to hit the 90 degree mark here today, but it has been quite windy too. It would have been perfect if not for the wind. I am so glad this week is ending, it seems like I really had a hectic week, but not complaining it could have been worst. I wanted to share with you a set of Cricut Covers I made and embroidered. I had them cut out for about 3 weeks, but did not find time to sew them until last week in-between all my disruptions. Sewing helps to calm me down, lol. This set of covers were created with three different designer fabrics. Because it is limited in quantity, I was only able to make two sets with it. The third and final set will be a little different. When I was going thru my cut pieces of fabric I ran across these adorable frogs and a light bulb went off in my head. The sentiment just seem to go perfectly with the material. I embroidered the sentiment and thought now how cute is this? Leave me a message and tell what you think. I will have these available for purchase on my store Here, either tomorrow or Monday. Keep checking so that you won't miss them. Catcha soon

The Cuttlebug Spot~Sketch Challenge!

Happy Wed.!

Hi~ya All!

A very happy Wednesday to everyone, I hope all is well. I know I'm a couple of days late posting as I normally post my CB Spot on Monday. This week at The Cuttlebug Spot we were to create a card using a sketch that was done by our very own Amyee. I created a sympathy card using one of my little roses I had made. I used SU designer paper and cardstock which matches my rose. The sentiment was heat embossed with silver powder, and I also used my nesties, SU punch, CB die, MS punch, ribbon and pearls to finish it off. I attached a silver cross to the bow. The inside was not finished when I shot this photo, it was printed on vellum and needed to dry. I created this card for a funeral I was attending on Monday. Since it was my brother-in-laws Mother, I knew not to give him anything too mushy. A simple card expressing my condolences was fine. Be sure to check out all my DT sisters cards and play along with us at The Cuttlebug Spot. There is a lovely prize waiting for your entry.

New Jammies!! ~Characters~"Strawberry Shortcake"!!

Happy Sun.!

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying a lovely weekend. This will be a quick post tonight, I will be attending a funeral tomorrow. I wanted to get something new on because I probably will not be posting until Tuesday. This is a new set of "Jammies" that I created, they were inspired by a name I saw on the "Cricut" messageboard. Her name was "Strawberry Shortcake." A light bulb went on in my head, "saying you have some of that material", why not create a set of covers. These will be available on my store in a few days, along with a couple of other sets I have sewn. Aren't they just adorable? Catcha soon!

Thank You Kelly!!!

Happy Thurs.!

Hi~ya all!

A very happy Thursday to you all, I hope all is well with everyone. I wanted to share my gift I received from my dear friend Kelly. I had asked her about the Nellie Snellen punches she use on an adorable card she had created. Well, not only did she give me the information about the punches, she actually sent me a gift card for me to purchase them. Can you believe it? I received them in the mail on Tuesday, and I just wanted everyone to see what I got. Kelly always share her knowledge and wonderful creations with us all, and you can see her creations here. A big shout out to my friend, THANK YOU SO MUCH KELLY! I will be creating a card with them hopefully later today, as I am trying to work with my sister who lost her mother-in-law on Sunday. Catcha Soon!

Hugz xx

We're BACK!!!

Hi everyone,

We are finally back from our little break, geez...it seems like it was last year. I hope you missed us enough and will visit out blogs, and leave comments. That is very important, as it fuels our creativity.

For out first week return, we are celebrating Grads & Dads, and since it is the first of June it will be here before you know it. My card for this week involves stamping and coloring with my Prisma pencils. It has been some time since I played around with coloring, but sometimes the change will do you good. For my CB embossing, I chose two different folders. I hope you will play along with this weeks challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot, there is an awesome prize for all you crafters. Be sure to visit my D/T sisters blogs and leave some comments.
