Cuttlebug Spot DT/~Summer Fun!!

Happy Thurs.!!

Hi~Ya All!!

Well, I can say summer is finally here. We've hit the upper 90's everyday since Sunday. So this card is right on time. This is my creation for The Cuttlebug Spot challenge this week, where the DT was to create a card celebrating school being out, or summer is here. I chose the latter, and I can say I really enjoyed working on this card. I guess it was because my "MOJO" was on vacation, and I didn't have a clue to what I was going to make. This card evolved out of whatever popped in my mind at that particular moment. You know, a create as you go kinda card. LOL, anyway I was pleased with the outcome. A nice little mixture of Cricut, Cuttlebug, embies, and inking. I love these types of cards. Be sure to check out all the other DT members wonderful creations. This is a very talented group of ladies here, and join us and play along. You will be amazed at what you can do. TFL

The Perfect Pear!! #55~ Happy Birthday!!

Happy Tues.!!

Hi~ya All!

Well, I hope everyone is ready for Summer!! It is here, and I know we are in for some warm weather here in Tracy. It is already reaching up in the 90's and it only the second day. Maybe what I needed was for the warmth to come, to get me back on the creative track. I want to share with you a card I created for my very dear friend Arthena. I was about a week late, but I know from her call yesterday, that it was worth the wait. I designed this adorable card in DS with my E for her 55th birthday. I used my little green buddy, the CB for the embossing on the background. The vellum labels were cut with my Spellbinder Wizard. The pears were cut three times and layered, using the sugar coated card stock for the sentiments and the center of the pears. A little inking, computer generated sentiments and some rhinestones completes the look. I just love the three colors together. They are just perfect for the warm Summertime weather. Wouldn't you agree? Catcha' later!

No More Black-tie Affairs! ~The Cutting Cafe' D/T Card~

Hi~ya All~

It's me again, I just wanted to share with you this adorable card I created using The Cutting Cafe's printable stamps. These printable stamps by the fabulous Regina, can be used in so many different ways. This is the Father's Day shirt and tie set. Since I wanted a little different theme, I used the shirt template, and then added the tuxedo look. Your imagination can run wild, with creativity using The Cutting Cafes printable stamps. Thank goodness mine is returning slowly but surely. For this card, which I changed into a retirement card for a male, I used SU's gorgeous Design speciality paper. It is called "Taste of textile", and is from Italy. Absolutely stunning, the black is textured, and the ivory for the shirt has pearlescent stripes on it. I just love it, gotta buy more before it is gone at the end of the month. For the inside sentiment which I didn't shoot a picture of,(sorry)it reads, "Just lots of R&R. Enjoy your retirement, you've earned it". Part of the sentiment is also from The Cutting Cafe's Retirement printable stamps. You can mix and match all sorts of ideas. Be sure to check out The Cutting Cafe here, and view all the other design team members creations. Well gotta get back to work, catcha later!

Cuttlebug Spot~D/T card~Fathers Day

Happy Mon.!!

Hi~ya All!!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Monday. Well, it is that time again, another great challenge from The Cuttlebug Spot. This week we are being creative for Father's Day which is this coming Sunday. I hope everyone has their special card for Dad. For my entry I chose to do a simple card, which involves a little bit of stamping, Cuttlebug, punches, and Cricut. I just love the card deck set from Stampin' Up!, so I used it along with my Cricut E for the sentiment. The inside is stamped with another SU set, and I found an adorable border punch to match. I also used a lot of stickles on the sentiment and the word DAD. Be sure to hop on over to The Cuttlebug Spot, and check out all the other design team members cards. If you are running behind getting that card for Dad, there is lots of inspiration to be found there. Thanks for viewing, and comments are always welcomed! Have a great day.

Cuttlebug Spot DT/~ Happy Anniversay!

Happy Monday!

Hi~ya All!

Today I would like to share with you my design team card for The Cuttlebug Spot. This card is very special too, because it is for our very own Nilda. She will be celebrating her 15th wedding anniversary soon, so I decided to make this one personalized. I used two different CB embossing folders, my E, and my nestie. The sentiment was computer generated. I love the soft blue pearlescent color with the white, and it embosses great. I added two little sheer ribbons to the side for accent. I'm only showing the outside of the card, because I haven't typed the inside sentiment yet. Hope you enjoy viewing, and be sure to check out the other design teams members cards. They are all just awesome. If you have the time, come play along with our challenge, there is another fabulous prize! Catcha soon!

Joy-Fold Card~My Son's Birthday!

Happy Thurs.!!

Hi~Ya All!

I hope you are enjoying a lovely Thursday. Just a quick post today, as I wanted to share this card I created for my sons birthday. I need to get it in the mail today, so he receives it by Saturday, which is his birthday. I used the same technique on this card, but added another element. I created a little pocket on the inside flap. This is a perfect place to add a little something extra. For this card I used my SU designer paper, stamps, ink, and card-stock. I just love the blues and browns together. The sentiment was cut with my E, in DS using MF,and CC cartridges. I used Bazzil card-stock for the sentiment. TFL, and have a great day!

Cuttlebug Spot D.T. Card~ Tilda!!

Happy Tues.!

Hi~ya everyone,

I hope all is well today. I wanted to share my Cuttlebug Spot D.T. card with you. Our challenge this week was to color a Magnolia image, or any image you might have. Since I don't have Copic markers, mine is colored with the MCPT. I cheated a bit, I colored mine last year, and had never mounted it, so this was the perfect time to use it. I would have colored another image, but time was pushing near. I then cut my image out and popped her with dimensional onto a Spellbinder die-cut. I used my nesties for the circle, and embossed my brushed flannel with the Cuttlebug embossing die. The purple is almost like mullberry, but it is woven. It embosses great, the sentiment was double cut with my E, using the WC cartridge. Added a few felt flowers and embies and thats about it. Another one of my simple cards. If you have a chance, be sure to check out the other designers cards, including out new DT members. You will simply be amazed at the talent of this team. Also there is a great prize this week, shhhhh...., you have to go check it out for yourself. TFL, and have a great day.
