2 x's The Fun!

Happy Friday!

Good morning,

Here is a fun baby card I made for one of my parents who is expecting twin girls.
Boy, it taken me about 3 hours to finish. You know when you have it in your mind what you want it to look like, but have to keep changing it. First when I was sewing the lace on the circle, it would roll up. Then it hit me, you need to gather this lace first before attaching it to the circle. Had to make a new one. After I figured this out, it was fairly easy to put together. Here is everything I did.

This is a 4.75 x4.75 card. I made it to fit a 5 x5 envelope.

5 layer of nestabilities-1 with lace attached.
Cuttlebug-dots folder on scallops
Pattern paper-pink gingham
HM stamp and MCPT colored
skittles,glass beads,rainhearts,ribbon-my stash
Machine sewing,scallops circles pierced
3 different color cardstock
sentiment-computer generated

I added the glass beads around the stamped image and the sentiment.

Thanks for looking, and have a great weekend!

Male Cards

Happy Tuesday!!

Guess everyone is full of barbeque, being it is the first que of the season. Hope everyone had a good safe holiday, and are back on track....
I enjoyed my 3 days off, no kiddies but was back to work bright and early 5:00 a.m., this morning. I did manage to make a few cards this weekend. Here are 2, male cards, one is a birthday, and the other is a get well. Male cards are harder to make, because you can't use all the frills on them. You want them to look more masculine. I used my cuttlebug dots folder, and for my colors, I chose a stripe with brown ds paper. The other I used my SU chocolate chips inks over the ds paper. This color worked well with the teal cardstock. I found my happy birthday, dude stamp, and the guitar, (forgot I had these stamps.)
Added some stickles and ,skittles, SU punchs, waa-laa!!, a simple male card. "You rock" was hand written. Thanks for looking!

Cards for St. Jude's

I have been working on some cards for St Jude's Children's Hospital. This is a campaign started on the Cricut MB by Marcia and Carol. I know Carol has been making cards for kids for quite some time. She teamed up with Marcia and came up with CFK for St. Jude's. The goal is 5000 cards by June 20th. I hope with all the talented cardmakers out here, we can reach this goal!

Here are some of the cards I have done so far.

Don't be shy, "you can do it", pitch in and have some fun!

Sympathy Card...For Friend

Hello everyone,

Hope you all are having a good Wednesday, I have kinda been MIA for a few days. I have been working on some cards for the St. Jude's card drive, along with some wonderful ladies from our Cricut MB. We are making cards for the kids and their families at St. Jude's Hospital.

Yesterday I learned one of my friend's mother passed away, so last night I made this card for her and family. Sympathy cards are really hard for me to make, as I want them to be personal. I like them to be simple, but have a little elegance to them.
This card is just that, but yet is still soft, and suits the occasion I think!
Take a look and tell me what do you think?

Card Info.

Card is embossed and chalked with SU. Also chalked the small flowers and added tiny beads. The sentiment is computer generated, and the inside is printed on vellum. Added ribbon and a small cross from my stash. Embossing done on pearlized paper, which matches the tiny flowers perfectly.

Welcome Little One!!!

Here is another sweet baby card I made on Friday. It was requested by one of my Daycare Parents. I used NA on my Cricut machine to create, and added lots of embys. I love to make these cards for new parents, because you can personalize them to your hearts desires.......

Hope everyone is well on this bright and sunny Sunday. I made this bright and happy card, Friday night, but I am just getting around to posting it. It is done with SU stamps and inks. I did add embossing to it with my Cuttlebug folder, along with stickles and popped the thanks and the butterfly which I cut out. Dotted ribbon is from my stash. Hope you like it!

Congrats! It's a Boy!!

Good morning,

This is a card I made for one of my daycare
parents, who just gave birth to a new little one.
I worked on it last night so I didn't post anything
on Tuesday. Sorry about that. I did this on my
Cricut machine, and used my Cuttlebug for the
embossing. Hope you enjoy!

Mother's Day Card

This is the card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day. It only taken me about 6 hours, being that I taken several breaks in between. It is a Accordian Fold card, inspired by my friend Envys, and a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers. It has 6 panels which are layered with 2 different color cardstock, and the top is vellum. The butterfly is also topped with vellum, it is a diecut from my Cuttlebug, love this little guy, and embossed. I think it came out lovely, and I am pleased with the results. What do you think?

Card opened, showing panels. Heart is popped up with a dimensional to give it depth.
