I'm So Blessed~ Loving Friends~Arthena / Julie!!!

Me again, I just had to share my awesome news!! My longtime friend Arthena, who I have been friends with, more like a sister, well she did the most amazing thing. She found out that I make handmade cards, and fell inlove with them. We were talking about a week or so ago, and I told her about the M's sale on the cartridges, and said girl I gotta have some of those new cartridges. Well, would you believe she purchased 4 of my cards, and sent me $100.00 extra to purchase my cartridges with. Isn't she just too awesome??? I wanted to give a shout-out to her for her kindness, and caring self. She was my daughters daycare provider, and the one who got me into the profession. Thank you soooo much Arthena! You are such a blessing!!

And my second good news for the day! My great girl Julie over in the UK, sent me this awesome package which I received today. She sent me all these gorgeous goodies, including my decoupage fairies, which she knows I love, lots of peel offs, card embellishments, fur for Santa's hat, and some gorgeous mirror image foil board. And on top of that, she even sent me the most beautiful card with some Cappuccino mix.
I had to give Julie a shout-out too, because I met her on the Cricut mb, and we bonded as close friends right from the start,my other long distant sister!!!

Thank you so much Julie!! I love everything, and you are a treasured jewel!!!
Here is a photo of my goodies from Julie. I'm so Blessed!!!

Poinsettia~Merry Christmas~ Card!

Happy Black Friday!

Hi~Ya All~

Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving and ate lots of turkey. I had a nice quite day at home with my daughter, and nooo..company. I managed to work on this card and I didn't finish it until late this afternoon. I kept thinking last night that it needed something else..sooo, I added the candlestick with candle.
I used the CS cartridge for the candlestick and candle, and the poinsettia are primas. The shape which holds the sentiment, is from AE cartridge. That is the only Cricut used. I added gold mistletoe, bow, beads, and a ribbon to complete the look. The layers of cardstock and paper were machine stitched, and grosgrain ribbon added for photo corners on the top inside layer, and bottom. The inside sentiment is heat embossed, which I really love to do. SU punch for the photo corner on the front, as well as the solid cardstock. DCWV Christmas printed cardstock and pp paper, anything else, is from my stash. That is all for this one folks!

My Sisters ~50th~ Birthday Card!!!

Happy Mon.!!

Hi~ya All!

Hope all is well, and getting ready for turkey day. I have been MIA lately, getting to be a norm for me. I have been kinda busy with other things, but not forgetting about my blogging friends. Anyway, here is a card I had to finish up today for my sisters birthday on Wednesday. She is our turkey girl, each year we celebrate her birthday along with Thanksgiving. This one is special, she turns 50, so I thought I would give her a cake, since I'm not going to see her. I want to thank my friend Donna, for the help with that cake. She posted a beautiful card on her blog a while back, which gave me the idea for this card. Hers was much fancier than mine, but since I needed this in a hurry, I chose a regular 5x7 card. I'm sure she will be please with this one, and especially since I created it. I used WS for the cake,PS for the number 50,cut with DS on the Expression, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots on the corner punch, cake plate, HB folder for the background, and Birthday Wishes folder for the inside sentiment. SU kraft cardstock, dazzling diamonds, corner punch, DCWV printed cardstock, Doodlebug sugar coated (orange)cardstock, MS border lace punch, and drippy goo, which I glazed with Crystal Effects for the gloss look of the chocolate icing. I also used gold metallic cardboard, primas, ribbon, gold beads from my stash. TFL
That is all for today. Catcha soon!

Candy Canes~Buttons~Bows!!-Holiday

Happy Wed!

Hi~ya All,

How is everyone? Hope all is well, I'm feeling much better today, and as promised I did finish a card. I have been working on this card since Sunday, yes you heard it right. Between my back giving me fits, and deciding to add something different as I go, made this card a long one to complete. This card has layers of cardstock, machine stiching, heat embossing, 3-D images, and a whole lot of details. I'm so glad to be finished, when I was midway thru the card, I decided to detour, I wanted a different font, but couldn't find it in my cartridges that I have. So I remembered that I had bought a Quic-Kutz hand diecut about 2 years ago, and had never used it. That was before Cricut, so I went in my closet and pulled it out. It came with the CK typist mini alphabet set, and the size was just perfect for what I wanted. Oh boy, was I in for some work, I die-cut the alphabets out of 2 different papers, one a printed card stock, and the other printed paper, squeezing that bar. Then I became more creative, used Crystal Effects on those little letters to give it a acrylic look, using tweezers to hold on to them. Lots of work, but I love the end results. This card was one of those that nothing went smooth on, besides being in pain trying to work, I forgot when I was using DS to cut my candy canes, to flip the image for the mirror effect. Then I decided to heat emboss the sentiment inside along with the envelope, so that just added more time. Finally at 3:00 p.m. today, I finished. Well only 4 days, but you don't know how glad I am to be finished.
Hope you enjoy checking it out, because I am glad to move on to something else...
Thanks for looking!

Catcha soon!

I'm Okay Everyone!!!

Hi~ya All!

Just want everyone to know I'm okay. Some of my mb friends were concerned and have e-mailed me to see if I was OK, since I haven't been on in the past few days. That is so not like me, but I have been a little stressed lately, and that can cause my back to start to spasm. It has been hurting on and off, so the less time I spend sitting in a chair at my computer the better. I attempted to get on my lap-top the other night, and was so tired I almost dropped it off my lap while in bed. Bad idea, so if I'm too sleepy I will have to wait. I worked really hard over the weekend trying to finish some card sets. I haven't posted here since Thursday, but promise to have a new card soon, maybe tomorrow. Hope everyone is being creative and getting your holiday crafts finished. I haven't even put a dent in mine, since I have been listing my cards on e-bay, I can't seem to get a good quantity made up in advance. Never would I have imagined it would be so much work. so be patient with me, I will get back to normal soon. Have a great evening!

Vintage~Xmas Post~ Card Set!!!

Happy Thurs.

Hi~ya All!

Hope all is well, I'm a little late on posting, but I have really been working hard.
About a month ago, I made this card sample at my SU class, and fell in love with the design. I was thinking, it would look great in different colors, so that is what I decided to do. I plan to make several set with different sentiments, and will probably use this design for my Christmas cards. So I had better get busy on them. My 19 year old daughter likes them too, and she is not into card making. But she told me she would like to make some for her friends for Christmas. Ya~think, she might have an interest????? LOL, oh well, we will see!

I made this set of 6 cards with two darling stamp sets by SU, and two sets by Inkadinkadoo. It was a little work, with all the stamping and inking , but I feel they were so worth it. I love the winter feel and the vintage look of this card. I did use my E to cut the shapes from the AE cartridge. The rest was all using my creative hands. The trees, and their hats sparkle with Dazzling Diamonds glitter, giving the scene a real snowy look. I finished off the inside with a holiday sentiment. The colors are gorgeous in Soft Sky, and Vanilla cardstock, with Close to Cocoa ink. Added matching ribbon, and vanilla colored envelopes. That's all for now!

Christmas Is On Its Way~~Design Team/Cuttlebug Spot!

Happy Sun!

Hi~ya All!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Just a cute little card I created for my entry for the CBS design team for this week. Our theme for this week, was to use a card with a die-cut, from the Cricut machine or the cuttle bug die. I chose to use the deer from my new Christmas cartridge, and the tree from JOTS cartridge. See, I'm using my E more lately. I used the nesties in my cuttle bug for the circle die cut and embossing, heat embossed the sentiment, and did some sewing on my machine. There are four layers cuts for the tree, and three layers for the deer. I then used dimensionals to pop the layers. A very nice 3-D look, added some embellishments, lots of inking, and a lined envy to match. Whaa~Laa!!~ my completed card. This one was a breeze!! What a darling little card for someone to give or receive. Will catcha later this week!

Vintage~Ole' World Charm~ Seasons Greeting!!

Happy Friday!

Hi~ya All!

Hope everyone is well this week. I haven't posted since Monday, as I was not feeling well. Then I had a scare from my daughter, who passed out after having migraines, and she was telling me she couldn't see. She lost her vision for about 10 minutes, so I had some concerns there. Did manage to make a card today, from the new Christmas cartridge. I really like this one, it reminds me of a vintage look, with Ole' World Charm. So that is what I'm calling it. I had to custom make the envy also, as there were none for the size I needed. This card is a 6 x 6 square. I sewed on layers of card stock, and heat embossed it. It give it that rustic look. Well, I just wanted to check in for the week, will hopefully post a few more cards over the weekend. Catcha later!

Oh What Fun!!~Cuttlebug Spot Design Team~

Happy Mon.!

Hi~ya All,

Hope all is well. This is my card entry for the CuttlebugSpot DT, this week. The challenge was to use a CB folder, and a punch. I used my Christmas Tree folder, and the MS lace-punch. The tree is embossed on Aqua metallic foil board, with small blue metallic florets and pearl centers. Tiny Aqua colored jingle bells added to the ribbon bow. Inside is lined to match, and created matching envelope with PS. Hope you like it, as my back was killing me, and I needed to come up with something quick. TFL

Catcha later!
