Inspired by Advertisement~TCBS D/T Card!

Happy Tues.!

Hi~ya All!

A very happy Tuesday to everyone. I hope you are having a great start to your week, mine has been kinda busy here lately. College started back for my daughter last week, so lots of running around trying to get her situated. Not much crafting here lately, but I did manage to get this challenge in.

This is the final week of being "Inspired By:" over at The Cuttlebug Spot. Our challenge was to create a card, layout etc., using an advertisement for incentive. My intention was to use an ad I had seen in the MS Living magazine, but for the life of me I wasn't able to find the book. I then turned to my Stampin' Up! Success magazine that is for Demonstrators only. I do regret not being able to post the ad for you to see, but I think that is a no-no, lol. So you will have to take my word for it. The butterfly and flower had been colored since last year, and was in my folder files. I fussy-cut it out, as my good friend Donna always says, and popped it up with dimensionals. The lovely butterfly embossing folder, and the adhesive faux rhinestones, was a gift from my dear friend Julie. The cardstock, DS paper, embossing powder and stamp set is by Stampin Up, and the glitter is Stickles. Wow, I haven't used Stickels in so long, it was fun to play with it again. I also used my SU border punch on the bottom. Be sure to check out what my D/T brother/sister have created.

Well, that is going to rap things up for now, but I will be back in a few days with something new to share with you. Have a great Wednesday and don't forget I am on chat at 3:00p.m., my time. Hope to catcha soon!

TCBS D/T~Inspired By a Children's Game!

Happy Tues. Evening!

Hi~ya All~

A very happy Tuesday evening to everyone, I hope all are doing well. I have been quite busy today, so I am a little late posting here.

This week over at The Cuttlebug Spot our challenge was to create using a children's game as our theme. There are so many kids games out there some old, and some new. I was thinking of some of the old games I use to play as a kid, and I came up with hop-scotch. I remember playing this game and could still play it today, lol.

For my card I chose a theme "Hopping my way to your heart." I created my hop-scotch with tiny scalloped squares which I created with my Cricut and DS using the New Arrivals cartridge. I then punched out my large heart with the SU Punch, MS punch for the glittered little hearts border. The tiny punched hearts were added to the hop scotch pattern. Two different CB folders were used to create this card, along with rub-ons for the sentiment, and on the glittered SU paper. Thanks for taking a peek, and be sure to check out what my D/T brother and sisters have created for you.

The Cuttlebug Spot D/T- Inspired by A Song!

Happy Tues.

Hi~ya All!

A very happy Tuesday to everyone, I am feeling much better today. thanks to everyone for all the get-well wishes. I haven't got my MOJO back yet, but I did create a simple card for this weeks challenge. Our challenge at TCBS was to be inspired by a song. My first thought was tossed out the window because I didn't have the correct CB folder for it.

While I was speaking on the phone with my BF Donna M., she gave me another idea. Thanks Donna, you are a life saver! She suggested that I use the chandelier folder, which is exactly what I did. I also used Kimmy Love on the red foilboard, MS corner punch on the white cardstock. I guess I was thinking valentines as this card has all the LOVE colors, lol. I used stickles and tiny clear adhesive rhinestones on the chandelier. The sentiment was computer generated. Thanks for stopping by to take a peek, and be sure to check out all what D/T has in store for you. Catcha soon.!
