Hip Huggin' ~Jammies for my Bug!

Serged the edges in white for better viewing.

Happy Tues.!

Hi~ya All!

Hope everyone is doing fine on this Tuesday evening. It seems like once Monday is over, the weekend is right upon us. Anyway, I wanted to share with you my little creation I did today. No card, I dusted off my sewing machine and serger, (have been in my closet for about 2 years), and decided to try to make a dust cover for my Cricut E. I looked on the internet for a pattern but wasn't really liking what I was finding. So I decided to create my own. This is simply trial and error, but I did like my finished product. I wanted a snug fitting cover for my E, along with the flap, because I have a embroidery machine so I can customize the cover. This one I made with some scrap material, and added Pellon fleece lining to the flap. If I wanted to make a reversible cover I could. I also added elastic to the bottom to ensure a snug fit. The padding also helps to protect the top of your machine, in case something is dropped on it. I could have went out and purchased quilted material, but since I have so much in my stash, plus padding I can add it to it. I need to play around with the sizes a bit more if I am going to make it reversible. You can see it fits like a pair of hip-hugger jeans now, lol. I will re-size my next cut for a little more play, and add a few more details, like side pockets, personalize names, ect. Tell me what you think? Leave me a comment. I Will be on chat tomorrow Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Join me. Catcha later!

Happy Mon>

Hi~ya All!

How is everyone after the Super bowl? I must say I was hoping the Saints would win, being that is my birthplace and everything the state has endured. Go Saints! Today I would like to share with you my D/T mailbox we were asked to alter for The Cuttlebug Spot. If you didn't have the mailboxes from Target, then you could create your own. My design team sisters did an awesome job with their creations, each one different and very creative in its own way. Here is the chance for you to strut your stuff and play along with us at The Cuttlebug Spot. Valentine's Day is upon us, you know. I hope you will join us for this fun adventure.

The Cutting Cafe's GiveAway~Contest!! Hurry Hurry!

Happy Sat.!

Hi~ya All!

Hope all is well on this Pre-Super Bowl Saturday night. Well Regina over at The Cutting Cafe' is celebrating too. She is giving away two (2)of her gorgeous sets of new stamps as freebies. Yes, I did say freebies, and she also has a contest going on where you could win four(4)sets of your choice. She has such talent and is always willing to share with others. These freebies are in appreciation of all her customers. What an awesome thing for her to do, although I think Regina is awesome anyway, lol. I created this card today using both of the free sets, Colored mini-polka dots, and the Colored flowers set. You know what is so cool about these sets, they come in an array of different colors, so you can just print whatever color you need. You don't have to worry about using a photo editing program to change the colors. Now how neat is that! They also match Stampin'Up colors and I am sure they match a lot more. I use SU being that I am a demonstrator, and I love their cardstock and colors. You must hurry though because this will end on Monday, February 8th, and those freebies will go bye-bye!
The contest rules are posted on The Cutting Cafe's blog, so be sure to check them out. Now back to my card, I printed the mini dot and flowers on two different colored cardstock. I hand cut the flowers out and popped with dimensionals. If you have a Pazzle or another cutter that uses the correct format, you can cut them out with those machines. I layered the flowers after using my CB Swiss dot folder onto a rectangle which I cut with my nesties. For the flower stem I use one of my new SU stamps for the leaves, added May-Art silk ribbon, and a CB sentiment. The rhinestone are from my stash, and I used the SU scallop border punch on the top. I really love how those flowers just pop off the page. I am pushing to get this posted before 12:00 o'clock. Gotta run, catcha later!

Follow Your Heart~!!

Happy Fri.!

Hi~ya All!

Happy Super-Bowl weekend to all the football fans. I might watch it off and on, but this would be a great time to be shopping or crafting. I will probably be doing the latter. Finished this card last night, and it was inspired by the paper, and Nilda of the Cuttlebug Spot. Her 5 year old son created an adorable little elephant out of hearts, and it is just super cute. After I watched his video, when I picked up this designer series paper from SU, I noticed it had the little hearts formed into a flower. What inspiration!!! I punched out little heart with my MS punch, didn't have the correct one, but it still did the job. I formed them on a punched 3/4 circle, and created a 3-D flower, with a brad in the center. The hearts are popped with dimensionals, along with a couple of flourishes and some pearls. The stamp is a new one from SU. The ribbon is May Art satin, which I have some For sale. E-mail me if you are interested. This card can be used for Valentine's or any love occasion. I left the inside blank. I will be on chat at 2:00p.m,(PDT) tomorrow. Join me. Catcha later!

Another Simple Card~Valentine~Love You Much!

Happy Wed!

Hi~ya All!

Hope your Wednesday is going well, it is starting to rain here again. I wanted to share with you another one of my "simple cards" I created. I actually started this one first and realized I had the wrong color cardstock, so I put it aside. Since it is dreary outside I decided to finish it up. I used a variety of things here, CB love folder, clipart©, nesties, MS & SU punches, May Art satin ribbon, and SU sentiment and cardstock. I popped my little bunny up with dimensionals, and used the little heart punch-outs for decoration along with some tiny adhesive pearls. I hope this will inspire you to create some simple cards. Leave me a comment and let me know. Catcha' later.

Cuttlebug Spot D/T~Post It Craft Paper!!

Happy Mon.~

Hi~ya All!

Happy February everyone! It seems like it was just New Years a few weeks ago, and we are already into the second month of 2010. So are you ready for another Cuttlebug Spot challenge? I hope so anyway. This week at The Cuttlebug Spot ,we were to use the new 3M ®Post It Craft-Paper for our creations. I receive a nice pink and blue color so immediately I thought of baby. I was thinking of skipping the challenge, because I had no idea what I was going to create with it. After I got some food in my stomach, my memorex starting to tick. I was on the phone with Donna M., at 2:00 p.m. and was telling her I was thinking of still doing a project but what I didn't know. About 3:00 p.m., I came up with the idea to do a basket-weave using the pink and blue paper together. Once I finished the weave, I realize that it was too large for a standard A-2 size card, so this one turned into a 5 x 7 size card. Well, I had to use my Cuttlebug, and while I was at it, I said "might as well add a little Cricut also". To finish it off I added a stamped image, nesties, pearls, ribbons, and a scalloped border. After using this new product I think it is nice for small cuts and not having to add adhesive. Be sure to check out all my DT sister creations, at The Cuttlebug Spot! OOp's, see I knock off a tiny pearl while trying to shoot this picture tonight. Oh, well it is to inspire you anyway, lol. Play along with us to win some of this great paper. Catcha soon!

XoXo~Love!

Happy Fri.!

Hi~Ya all!

TGIF! How is everyone doing this Friday? I just love the weekends, I don't know why since I am retired any day should be great, Right? I guess my memorex comes up with more creative ideas during that time. It seems to me that during the weekdays, I find it so hard to come up with a theme for a card. but when the weekend arrives, I have all sorts of thoughts popping in my head. The problem is can I get them transferred onto a project. This was one of those weekend thoughts and I actually finished a couple of days ago but didn't have time to post it. It is a 5 x 7 size card which I stitched on my sewing machine. The DS paper is SU Speciality Designer series paper. I used two different cardstocks and ribbons. The darker chocolate ribbon is May Arts velvet, and the Vanilla is from SU along with their cardstock. The sentiment is one of the new ones from Just Rite Stamps, Loving Thoughts that is a square stamp. Love that frame around the sentiment, it is also one of their new square frames. All these gorgeous stamps are available from our very own Glenda, of Glenda's Creative Place. I tell'ya this girl really works hard to give us these new releases as soon as they become available. I also used my Spellbinder rectangle, flourishes, and heart nesties, which she also has available, and popped them with dimensionals. If you are looking for any Spellbinder products, check her out. The XoXo is cut from my CB Love Language set, inks, scalloped border is SU and pearls are from my stash. I finished off the inside but left it blank as this card can be used for Valentine day, or any love holiday that you choose. I love the pink and chocolate color combo, and that little splash of Vanilla just makes it yummy! What do you think? Catcha' a little later!
