Happy Halloween Witch!/Cutting Cafe'

Hi All!

Just a quick post tonight as I'm feeling lousy with flu like symptoms. This is another card I completed, this one is quite simple. The witch is cut from ACY's cricut cartridge using DS, and flipped. I inked the moon and used Regina's printable stamp from The Cutting Cafe' Halloween labels. The bg paper is from K&Co. MS drippy goo punch, which I used stickles on for some bling. Added a few rhinestones and ribbon and that is it. Catcha soon when I'm feeling better.

Cuttlebug Spot DT/ Card~ Autumn Is Here!

Happy Mon.!

Hi~ya All!

How is everyone on this great first Monday of Fall? I sure hope you are in the spirit for Fall. Today, I would like to share with you my D/T card for this weeks challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot. Our challenge is to create a card with a Fall/Autumn theme. Now I'm sure you are thinking of the holidays that are just around the corner, so you had better get busy with the card making too. Why not join us this week, and create your best Fall/Autumn theme? Just remember that it has to have some cuttlebug on it. Now back to my card. You know I just had to use my "Harvest" borders from Spellbinders again. I'm so loving these border cuts, I also used the "Nested Leaves", and my rectangles. The cuttlebug folder is Autumn blessing, from last year. I embossed a small section and hand painted it with copper metallic paint. I wanted it to have a rustic look. The leaves have a touch of paint also on the edges just to make sure they blended in. The BG paper and card stock is from SU. Added a few embellishment from my stash, and here is my card. I hope you get inspired to join us at The Cuttlebug Spot. Catcha later!

BOO! ~Happy Halloween!/The Cutting Cafe!

Happy Sun.!

Hi`ya All!

A very happy Sunday to everyone, and especially to me. Today is my daughters 20th birthday. My oh my, how time seems to fly these days. I can remember so clearly having her just before the big 89 earthquake happened. She was only 3 weeks old, see I still have my memorex here, lol. Sometimes I wonder where it goes when I'm trying to come up with an idea for a card. Anyways, on to my card. This is another simple Halloween card I made, using Spellbinders nesties. I used the pumpkin cut this time, and added some googlie eyes to it. The cute little sentiment and pail tag is from Reginas The Cutting Cafe. Be sure to go and check her out, as she is so creative with the printable stamps. I used my Cricut for the BOO and ghost. MS drippy goo punch, buttons, ribbon, and embellishments are from my stash. Hope you are getting ready for Halloween. This card will be for sale on my Etsy Shop soon. Catcha later!

BOO~ Did I Scare You??

Happy Sat. All!

Hi~ya to everyone out there in cyberland! I hope all is well with everyone, since I have been MIA for a few days. I am back and ready to share some "Halloween" cards with you. This is just a simple little card, I thought would be just right for the little ones. Nothing too scary for them, the perfect card to send to those darling little grand kids. I got a chance to use my Spellbinder dies, "Harvest Border" for those cute little pumpkins. Since I made this one over a week ago, and I hadn't received all my new papers, I used a black/white gingham check in the background. I cut Boo and the adorable little ghost with the Cricut and mounted them on top of a oval nestie. The little pumpkins are popped with dimensionals for the 3-D effect, and I was able to alternate the colors since I cut two sets. The inside is computer generated, and I added ribbon and epoxy bats to finish it off. The adorable little tag used on the candy pail is from Regina, at The Cutting Cafe. I simply resized it down and attached it. Be sure to visit The Cutting Cafe for some fun Halloween printable stamps. This was a very quick and easy card, and will be available for sale on my Etsy shop soon. Well that is it for today, will catch ya soon!

Happy Anniversary Cuttlebug Spot~Celebrate!!!

Hi~ya All!

WOW!! I'm so happy to be part of the celebration of our 1 year anniversary of The Cuttlebug Spot. My, how time flies when your'e having fun, and that is exactly what I have been doing for this past year. I can remember when Nilda was starting up the blog, and decided to add a design team. I was so excited since it was my first time trying out for a team. I was e-stactic when I was the first one chosen. How lucky was I. I have to say I have really learned a lot of new techniques, met so many new friend, and I have enjoyed this first year as a team member. We have so much talent here on this design team, everyone has their own style, different takes on the challenges. Thank you Nilda for all your hard work, sharing with us all here on the Cuttlebug Spot. To celebrate our 1 year anniversary, our sponsors are giving away some awesome prizes, be sure to check them out.

Now on to this weeks challenge, since we are going down memory lane, lol we were to go back in time. Our first challenge was "inking" of the folder, so smarty me wanted to use the script folder. I only wanted the script, (raised part) to be inked, which was a challenge in itself. I use q-tips and a tiny brush to get into the grooves of the folder. That way when it is embossed the script is high-lighted. It is much easier if you actually ink the folder with a brayer or ink pad. I also used the Swiss dot folder, and my Spellbinder die "Rose Blossoms". My good friend Glenda has these Spellbinder dies over at Glenda's Creative Place, and she is sponsoring today's prize which is the tulip pendant die. Thank you Glenda! Be sure to visit her site, do a little shopping, and see all she has to offer. BTW, her prices are the best, and she gives all her customers A++++ service. You won't be disappointed at all. Now back to my card, I inked the embossed part of the rose, and sprinkled SU's Dazzling diamonds glitter, which was set with heat and stick powder. The flower florets are popped with dimensionals, and Kaiser pearls finishes it off. I will add a sentiment later as I wasn't sure what I wanted at the time. Well, that is it for me now, I have been working on some goodies, which I will be sharing with you later this week. Be sure to check out our challenge, and play along to win some fabulous prizes. Catcha Soon!

Cuttlebug Spot DT/ Confetti!!

Happy Mon.!

Hi~ya All!

How is everyone on this fine Monday? I hope all is well with you and yours. It is time for another Cuttlebug Spot challenge, and this week it is a real doozie!! How fun is this to use a cuttlebug folder and create confetti. I first had to create my little nut box. I used my Cricut TBBM, with DS and created the little holder. My choice of folders was the Swiss dots for the confetti, added a few embellishments, and there you have it. Very simple challenge. How about playing along with us this week? Be sure to visit all my DT sisters blogs for info on their wonderful creations. Have a great Monday!

Cuttlebug Spot DT card/ Get Well~Tweet~Tweet!

Happy Mon.!

Hi~ya all!

Just a quick little post today to share my DT card for The Cuttlebug Spot. This week our theme was to use a bird. I chose the bird from Home Decor Cricut cartridge, and used my Celtic Knot embossing folder. I hand cut around it, and popped on with dimensionals. I was in such a hurry to finish my card, that I forgot to cuttle the bird itself. The bird is cut 3 times and popped on dimensionals, I know it doesn't show on the photo. I added some ribbon and a few embys from my stash. The sent is a SU stamp and punch, and the inside sentiment reads" for a speedy recovery." Just a simple card from me this week, as I need to finish working on my Moms birthday card for Saturday. Be sure to check out my design team sisters cards, and come and play along with us. Have a great Labor Day!!

Seal Of Approval!! BBTB/SC Wednesday~ Challenge!!

Happy Sat.!

Hi~ya All!

I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend, this being that last one of Summer. I have been having a ruff week, but I finally made some time to create a little something. This card was started early in the week, but just got completed late Thursday night. I hadn't had time to post, so forgive me if it's a little late. You'll know I hardly ever do a challenge other than my design team cards, but I was talking to Donna M. the other day, and I told her I had no ideas dancing around in my head. She said to check out some of the challenges for inspiration, so that is what I did. In looking, I noticed the BBTB challenge, and since I had just receive my new Scrapping Cottage die, I thought hum...., I can do that. With just a quick peek on the BBTB challenge where they had to use the ribbon from Paper Pups cricut cartridge, this idea was formed. I used my little seal, and popped him on the ribbon float. The background paper is from my stash, and I added SU ribbon and brads. My little green buddy, CB folder tiny bubbles, and the dots strips for embossing. The sentiment was computer generated and punched with a SU punch. I also used the SU punch for the bottom layer, and added a couple of SU corduroy brads. That was it, but it goes to show that blog hopping can inspire your creative moments. Thanks for stopping by, and have a safe holiday weekend.
