Trying something New!!~Holiday Snow~

Happy Tues. All!

Hi~ya All!

Hope all is well, on this cool Tuesday. The weather is certainly changing fast, of course it is fall. I seem to be getting into the mood for the upcoming holidays, finished a little card that I started last week. It was done by inking my CB folder, with some SU ink, then I glittered some of the snowflakes, and placed it on a piece of mirror-image card stock. Used my drippy-goo punch, SU stamps, ribbon, and punches, two Christmas stamps and some jeweled stick-ons from my stash. Also used JOTS for the snowflake. Whaa-Laa, a simple little card. I like the effects of inking my CB folder, will have to try this again soon. Have you tried it yet? Check it out for a different look.

Card Recipe:

Snowflake folder, Cuttlebug
SU Ink pads-Soft Sky, Blue Bayou
SU Whisper White cardstock
SU Ribbon- Soft Sky
SU-Celebrate the season, stamp, and round and scalloped punches
SU-Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
Mirror board-Light Aqua
MS- Drippy Goo punch
Soft Brayer for inking the folder
Inkadinkadoo stamp-Let it Snow, Seasons greetings, Snowflakes
Heros Art- Inside sentiment
JOTs cartridge-Snowflake
Embellishments-my stash

Use brayer to ink your embossing folder well, then emboss in the CB, and let dry. You are inking the debossing-side, so the snowflake will be white. Wipe your embossing folder with a baby wipe to remove the ink. Do not use staz-on or any permanent type ink. Use one that will wash off with soap and water. Enjoy!

Well that's it for today folks, enjoy the rest of your week!

Warm Holiday Wishes~~CB Challenge!!!

Happy Sun.!

Hi-ya All!

How is everyone this glorious Sunday evening? Hope all is well, and you enjoyed your weekend. Created a cute and simple little card for the CB challenge this week. This card was so easy to do, as this week we were to use the Swiss Dots embosssing folder. Used my Cricut E, as I'm trying to use it more. Be sure to check out The CuttleBugSpot blog and enter. Nilda is giving away another embossing folder, you have to go check it out to see which one....I'm not telling!

Halloween Owl~Candy Bag

Happy Wed.

Hi~ya All,

Hope all is well this Wednesday. Just a quick post for everyone who was interest in the Halloween Owl Candy bags. My SU Manager Bev, has the details listed on her blog, I think most of us just looked at the pictures. LOL, anyway everything she used is listed there for you. Now I know a lot of you may not have all the punches or dies, but I did want to list what you can use on the Cricut instead. Improvise!!!

Card Recipe:

AE cartridge: #48-s for the owls head
#3-s for the eyes, or if you have George, use the circles.
#26-s for the feet, or 5 petal flower, cut 2 of everything.
1 piece of cardstock to fit inside bag. Stamped feathers on the back of it.

You will only use 3 petals for the feet and 1 for his beak. Candy bags, ds tape, glue dots of dimensionals. You can use any cartridge you have with these features if you don't have the SU supplies. Please leave Bev a commit on her blog, as she was nice enough to share her creation, and me too!! LOL Have fun!!

Joy~~Holiday Card!

Happy Sun.!

Hi-ya all,

Yeah, I know I have been MIA. Hope everyone is fine this blessed Sunday. I'm doing fine, just was a little pre-occupied this week, and not getting everything done that needed to be taken card of. I haven't posted anything since Tues. WOW!!! That is so not like me, as I love to be on my blog. Anyhoo...Getting around to doing a quick post today, before my SU class. I made this card yesterday, and made the matching envy too. I needed to make a card for the Cuttlebug challenge this week, so I didn't want to wait until the last minute. This week was my turn to choose a design, and I thought, why not use two different type folders on a card. Soooo, I did, made this into a criss-cross design, I love these cards, used my E, gotta love it, and start to use it more. The design paper, I didn't really like when I bought it, but thought, I can use this to make envelopes, because the weight is good quality. I love the matching envelopes, and after playing around with DS, I have mine saved for the sizes I need.
Anyway, I created my e-bay store last week, so I've listed a few items on there. I see another mb member has also jumped on the wagon. I still have my Etsy store, but E-bay has more exposure, and a lot more people. I will be listing cards on both.

Card Recipe:

SU cardstock, punch, and ink, PP Autumn Leaves, CB folders, snowflakes and swiss dots, MS lace dolly punch, JOTS cartridge for the sentiment, PS for the envy, embellishments and ribbon from my stash. Stamped sentiment by Heros Art. Criss-cross designed card.

This card is available on my e-bay store

With that said, I guess I will say catcha later!

Hope~~ Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Happy Sat.!

Hi-ya All,

Hope you are having a great weekend. It is feeling like fall at last here, been windy and cooling off quite a bit. I just wanted to share a darling card I made, using pink. As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I purchased a beautiful set of stamps with sentiments that are just amazing. It is call HOPE!
I don't know why, but I have had my eye on this set for some time, and decided to order it.
The card is 5x7 in size, made a A-2 size , but couldn't fit all the elements on it, so I had to make it again in a larger size. I customized the envy also, used my CB, for the cut and embossing and nesties for the metallic circle. Hope you enjoy it.

Card Recipe:
Card stock- DCWV, Beckett, Metallic foil board, SU dazzlin diamonds, MS punch, CB pink ribbon diecut.
Primas, ribbons, pearls from my stash. Hope stamp set, Ink-Brilliance Coffee Bean. Remember, think pink!

Holiday Greetings~

Hi~ya Again,

I told you I would be back, so here I am. Just finished with my pictures, and hope they will inspire you to make your Christmas cards. This one was inspired by my friend Susie B., she does gorgeous cards with the CB. I custom made the envy also, as this is not my normal size card. It is 5 1/2 x 7, just slightly larger than the norm. I think it came out rather nice myself, what do you think?

Card Recipe: Metallic red foil board, and silver inside, CB folder Winter House, scor-pal, Beckett cardstock (white), SU stamp, cardstock(red),Ink, and dazzlin diamonds glitter. Snow-writer, ribbons, embellishment, are from my stash.

Seasons Greeting~~ CB-Design Team Entry

Happy Mon.!!

Hi~ya All!

A happy day to everyone, hope you had a great weekend. How many participated in World Card Making Day? It was on Saturday, and if you are a papercrafter, you were encouraged to do some crafting. Well, I did a few cards, one for my new Cuttlebug Design Team, which I finished up on Sunday. I was thinking it was due next week, only to find out it was today. lol I really had to put a rush job on it. Thought you might want to have a look at it, as our theme this week is Sanding Surprise!
This is done by embossing your image in the CB, and then sanding the raised edges with a sanding bock or sandpaper. I use my sanding block by SU, I think it is a little finer than paper. Be sure to use white core card stock to get the effect, it doesn't work with solid color card stock. I used DCWV card stock for both the white core and colored cardstock. Used a mirror image foil board around the borders. It gives a nice effect to the embossed image, if I must say so myself.

This was our first challenge that the DT had to participate in, but I can see this is going to be lots of fun. Make sure you hop on over to the http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/ and check out everyones work. You will be amazed at everyones take with this technique! Enjoy, and leave your comment please........Catcha later!
