Turkey Soak~Got Turkey~ CBS/DT-Card!
Happy Mon.!
Hi~ya All!
It a great Monday, and it's time for another Cuttlebug Spot Challenge. The challenge this week will be a little late due to our Coordinator Nilda is a little under the weather. Let's all wish her a speedy recovery, it's no fun when you have the flu. Her DH was kind enough to inform us of her illness, and I'm sure most of you who visit the CB Spot are aware by now. Anyways, I would have been late getting mine in if she had posted on time, because I didn't finish until late. I was feeling kinda under the weather myself. Our theme this week being that Thanksgiving is next week, was to create a card using a turkey. Now if you're looking at my card kinda funny, let me explain. I had this dragon image from Dustin Pikes, and was really having a hard time coming up with a theme. As soon as I saw it, I knew I was going to make a PUN card with it. This dragon is soaking in a tub, and he has turkey feathers all around him. Normally you would brine your turkey before seasoning him. This is what they do in the south, and being that I am from Louisiana, I use some old school recipes, lol. I colored two images with my Copic markers,Prisma pencils, added some stickles, haven't use those in a while, and cut him out. After layering him using more dimensionals, he is popped onto a rectangle that is also layered. This turkey is popping off the page y'all! I used the Tiny bubbles, and Harlequin CB folders on the background cardstock. Then I added some blue raindots, and rustic rhinestones for accent. The sentiments are computer generated, and cut out with petite oval nesties. Well that about does it for my turkey card. If you are interested, you can find that cute dragon here on Dustin's site, and it is a free download. Have a great rest of the week!
Catcha soon!
