Bit of A Change~ For Me~The Cutting Cafe' !!

Happy Fri.

Hi`Ya Everyone!

I hope you are ready for another fantastic weekend. I'm so lovin' this fall weather, my PG&E company might not agree though. This means lower bills for me. It was a beautiful autumn day today, gorgeous! I finished up this card I started last week, while on the phone with my friend Donna M., I was telling her that I had never used the Tim Holtz alcohol inks before. I was so impressed with the card she made, I just had to try it. I actually created the leaves last week, but did'nt have time to put the card together. You know when you visualize what you want it to look like, well I was not feelin' it last week. Today I was determined to complete this card if it killed me, and I did, lol. I used acetate for my leaves, along with a pearlescent paint mixture, gold metallic paint, and the alcohol inks. I made sure to go outside, when mixing these chemicals together. After they dried, I cut them out with my Cuttlebug die cut, and cut out different colors of card stock for the backing. I used my scor-pal for the diagonal lines, and my mega curvy rectangles along with L-8 nesties. Everything is popped for the 3-D look. The sentiment is heat embossed with clear embossing powder, and the "autumn blessing" sentiment is from The Autumn Set at Regina's The Cutting Cafe. If you have'nt checked out The Cutting Cafe lately, you're in for a fabulous surprise. Regina has created some awesome printable stamps for the up-coming holidays. She really put a lot of work into these adorable sets. You just gotta go and check out all this girls talent. I just love them all, and I can't wait to use some of those adorable Christmas ones. I changed the color to match my stamped sentiment, and cut it out with oval nesties. The fancy corners are a Cuttlebug die. I added some gold adhesive pearls and ribbons, and that is about it. I really enjoyed making this card, it was definitely a change for me. I needed that! Now I must get back to using my lonely Cricut E, and finish up some of these cards I've started.... Catcha soon!
