Black/Le' Creme~ New Hip-Huggin "Jammies"!!

Happy Thurs.!

Hi~ya all!

How is everyone doing on this last Thursday in July? I hope all is well, and enjoying some glorious weather.

Today, I wanted to share with you a new set of Jammies I created, in black and an a eggshell color. I call it off white myself. When I purchased the black dot material I had purchase a pure white for the accent color. After taking it outdoors and seeing it in natural sun-light, I realized that it wasn't a pure true white dot on the black. I then had to look thru my stash and find a color that worked better with it, and I found this color, called La'Creme. It is a nice neutral accent color and can be combined with other colors on the flap. I will be doing a custom order embroidered rose, and I will post it when finished. This set will be available on my store, Dzyner's Showcase Creations by the weekend. I also have a few more sets that I have sewn, and will be showing them over the weekend.

A break for me is in order, so I will be shutting down from sewing mid-August until the beginning of September, to work on some paper crafting orders. If you see a set of "Jammies" that you want, please get them while they are available now.

Comments are always welcomed and if you are a new visitor, please sign my guest book or leave me a comment letting me know you were here. Have a great Friday everyone. Catcha soon!

The cuttlebug Spot-D/T~Wallet Mini-Album!

Happy Mon.!

Hi~ya All!

A happy Monday nite to you all. This is getting posted after 10:00 p.m., due to the fact I my internet was acting weird today. It has been in go-slow mode since I downloaded the Norton Anti-virus last week. This is the free one that came as a bonus with my Comcast account. Sometimes it is better just to spend the money, lol.

On to our challenge for this week at The Cuttlebug Spot, our theme this week was creating and embossing a mini-album of our choice. I chose to do a wallet style fold album. This is a 4 x 4 size that you can keep in your purse, sorta like a brag album for pictures. I created one a couple of years ago for my Mom, as she always has pictures of her grand kids. This one only has room for 4 photos, as it was only for the challenge, but you can create them much longer for more pictures. As you can see, I didn't appy a title yet, as it can be used for different occasions. It take a 12 x 12 sheet of heavy cardstock for the base, and piece of designer cardstock for the mats, along with additional cardstock for the diecuts. I actually made a little case for this one, but didn't shoot a picture of it. There is a trick to adding the ribbon, so the entire album is closed tightly. Maybe when I make another one, I will do a tutorial on making one. I almost forgot how to make them lol. Anyways, please check out what my D/T sister have in store for you. There are some awesome creations in all shapes and sizes, that will rock your imagination, and a awesome prize too. Check it out! Until next time.......

Commissioned Order~Box/Card Assortment!

Happy Thurs.!

Hi~ya Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a lovely week, and doing some crafting. I have been putting the final touches on an order I had all week. No sewing for me, as I needed to finish up these cards. I had a request for 2 sympathy, 2 get well, and 2 thinking of you cards, all in the same color palette, and a box to match. Well, I tell you, I'm so glad to be finished with these, because it drives me crazy to work on the same colors over and over. LOL, I guess I should get use to it, I have to make 50 birthday invites all in black and white. I don't mind working with the same colors for a few cards, but I will probably be pulling my hair out doing those invites.

Anyways, I used a mixture of SU designer papers along with textured and regular SU cardstock for these cards. Some of the sentiments were heat embossed, some were diecuts, but all in all I love the way they turned out. These cards were 5 x 7 in size so you have a lot more ground to cover. Just thought I would share some of the photos with you. Have a great weekend because tomorrow is TGIF day!
Catcha Soon!

The Cuttlebug Spot D/T~A Mickey Xmas!!

Happy Tues.

Hi~ya All!

So glad you stopped by to day to visit, I hope all is well with everyone. It seems like everyone is celebrating Christmas in July, and our theme this week at The Cuttlebug Spot is?... Yep!! you guessed it Christmas in July, lol. It is hard for me to imagine Xmas with this triple digit weather we are having. 100+ the last few days, although it is suppose to be cooling down starting today. Can you imagine Santa and Rudolph trying to deliver toys in that kind of weather.

My card this week is a simple card that I created while talking on the phone to my good friend Donna M. I told her I was finished with my card, and she said "What"!!!
This was probably the fastest card I have done in history! lol.

I used the CB Snowflake folder, along with CB Disney die, layered it on some green foilboard and red cardstock, and added a few faux rhinestone. Super duper easy! When an idea pops into my head, I have to move on it quickly, it seems my memorex is erasing lately...LOL

Check out what my DT sister have created at The Cuttlebug Spot, you could get a head start on your Christmas cards, and play along with us for a prize. Until next time, have a great week!

New "Jammies"~Black/Hot Pink!!~~Live Chat Tues./Thurs.!!

Happy Sun.!!

Hi~ya All!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday and enjoying this gorgeous weather we are having here in sunny California. We have reached triple digits for the last few days, but it will cool down starting tomorrow. Thank goodness! It feels so good to be caught up with my cards, and finally take a day off today. I was talking with
Donna M. yesterday and told her I was finished with my CB Spot card. Usually I am working hard all day on Sunday trying to get it done.

I wanted to share with you a new set of Cricut "Jammies" I made last week. These are so dramatic in Black with just the right pop of Hot Pink. For all you "pink lovers" out there these are for you. This set will be available on
my store starting tomorrow. I have slowed down on sewing after a while you can get burned out. Now I may only make a couple pair a week, unless it is an order. If you want these, better grab them before they are gone.

On another note, for all my friends who may have any questions for me I will be on live chat Tuesday and Thursday, July 20th & 22nd. I will log on at 2:00p.m. my time PDT, and will wait until 2:15 for chatters. If no chatters I will close it. So for all of you who have any questions about anything relating to posts here on my blog, or anything craft related, you can ask me live.
You don't have to have a chat box to talk, but you do need an e-mail address to participate. Hope to see you on Tuesday, have a great beginning of the week.

Stationary Box~ Thanks Jackie!!

Happy Wed.!!

Hi~ya All!!

A very happy hump day to everyone as this week is moving right along. I wanted to share with you a stationary box I created a couple of weeks ago using some of my SU designer paper. The original tutorial is by a SU demonstrator and very talented lady name Jackie. She created this gorgeous box and stationary set a couple of years ago 2008, if I recall correctly. I had some of the same DS paper which is a little heavier cardstock than normal and is perfect for this box.

I purchases some extra DS papers because I loved the color combinations, you may remember seeing it on a card I made for my sons birthday last year. The original tutorial is
HERE, and there is also a video on SCS by Beate if you are interested. I will be creating a few more of these for gift items.

I used my "Nellie Snellen" flower punches, which was a gift from my dear friend
Kelly, "thanks again girlfriend". Aren't they just too cute? I love that you can punch and emboss your flowers in any colors you need. I don't always have the right color prima flowers, and when I saw this punch set, I figured it would save me some $$$$$. Use it on thinner cardstock, I actually used it on SU, but it is a little more difficult to punch, and you can damage your punches with the heavier papers.

Stampin' Up! has some new designer series paper in the 2010-2011 catalog. If you are in need of a catalog and don't have a demonstrator, please feel free to contact me or purchase one HERE.
Have a great rest of the week everyone. Catcha soon!

CB-Spot D/T Card~Sketch~Choose Your Theme!

Happy Mon.!

Hi~ya all!

How is the weather where you live? It has been scorching here, and I think it has fried my brain, lol. I finished my CB Spot card, and forgot to send it to Nilda, so I am missing at the moment over at The Spot. See, I told ya' the heat has an effect on my memorex....hee-hee. Anyway, this week over at The Cuttlebug Spot our theme is "Sketches", and we could choose our own. I must say I am horrible at following sketches, but I tried. I always like to incorporate my own little flare into these as you will see with my card. Our very own DT sister designed this sketch, thanks Amyee!

For my card I created a birthday theme using DS cardstock,Bazzill, DCWV, and SU. Who would have thought that mixing all these names together would work, well you know me, I like to try almost anything. My cake image was cut using my nesties from a DCWV stack, that my BFF Donna M. gave me for my BD last year. The sides were not my original idea, I had seen a beautiful card on one of my favorite designers blog, Becca. This lady is so amazing with her creations, I see why her blog is called "Amazing Paper Grace". Talking about awesome...SHE is!

This card was huge, but I managed to cut it down to 6 ½ x 6 in size. I had to make my sides fit, the background is embossed with my favorite Swiss Dots CB folder. The petals on the paper flowers are inked with Tim Holtz distressing ink. I used my MS loopy punch on the bottom, and the little florets are from a CB die-cut. I stamped HB with my SU stamps, and popped it with dimensionals. Added a few Kaiser pearls and a bow and there you have it. Be sure to check out all my D/T sisters cards and come and play along with us. Have a great week all. Catcha' soon!

Two Challenges!!~Color Throw Down & Cricut Cuts & Stamps!

Happy Sat.!

Hi~ya All,

A bright and early good-morning to everyone. I wanted to share with you a card I made for two different challenges. My friend Donna M. told me about the challenge over at Color Throw Down, I had the colors they were using and decided to play along. I am a SU demonstrator and thought I can handle it! I used my Cricut machine for the die-cuts for this quick and simple card. Guys, you gotta check them out, there are some fabulous creations. They have some awesome prizes to be given away, and I'm finding it lots of fun too. Now on to another note.

I have two other blogs UB Cricut Cuts & Stamps, and Stampin' with Um Buggin, and sometimes it is a little hard to keep up with them all. But I have decided to post a challenge on Cricut Cuts and Stamps. This card is also being used as my sample design on the challenge. Be sure to check out our first challenge HERE, and play along with us. You could win a pair of "Jammies" for your bugs, along with other prizes. That's all for today. Catcha Soon!

Black/White Affair~Flowers~ Cricut Dust Covers!!

Happy Wed.!

Hi~ya All!

I hope you are having a great HUMP day today. It is warm here with a slight breeze, not enough that I don't have the AC going. I wanted to share with you one of my new set of "Jammies" that will available tomorrow on my store. I saw this fabric and thought that would make a dramatic dust cover in the mono-chromatic colors. I designed a little flower that is included and removable if you choose to accent with another color. (Thanks Nilda for the great idea on adding an embellishment.) You can order them embroidered with your personal message..Yeah I do that too. They are a custom order, but it gives you something to think about. I also think this cover would look good in a black and white themed kitchen for the "Cricut Cake" machines. I would line it of course, because I would want more protection for the "Cake machine, especially if the men are in the kitchen, lol. Only joking guys!

I will be making some "Cricut Cake" covers toward the end of the month, and will be sharing them with you. Also there will be some covers for the young crafters, " Kids Themes".

I have more new covers that I will be posting next week, maybe sooner time permitting. Please visit my store here and check out what I have to offer. Anyways, have a great rest of the week, see'ya on Friday!

Cuttlebug Spot D/T~2 x 2 Note of Thanks!

Happy Mon.!

Hi~ya All!

How is everyone on this first Monday of July? I hope everyone had a lovely 4th of July, and didn't eat too much. We had a block party, with live bands, bounce houses for the kids, drinks and food. I actually walked down there after it cooled off, 99 degrees here folks.

OK, we are starting off July with a bang! Our challenge this week is something different as we are using 2 x 2 dies or 2 x 2 CB folders. Now I know almost everyone should have at least one, you should have received some small dies with your Cuttlebug package when you bought it. If you don't have any those will work fine. So come on and join us for this fun challenge this week.

My card uses a little bit of everything. I used the 2 x 2 CB music notes, 2 x 2 CB hearts folder, along with the Spellbinders label and heart diecuts. For my background I embossed the white cardstock with the CB Allegro folder, and then inked it with black SU ink to give it some contrast. It also helped to photograph it better. The sentiment is computer generated, and the black silk ribbon is by May Art Ribbons. The sheer is Offray. I popped the music notes, label, and hearts off the embossing for some dimension. The music note background paper is from my stash, had it a couple of years, and I used a few black adhesive pearls to finish it off. I hope you like my creation this week, and if you do, please leave me a comment letting me know. Now be sure to check out all my D/T sisters wonderful creations, and come play along with us this week at The Cuttlebug Spot. Catcha soon!
