Happy Anniversary Cuttlebug Spot~Celebrate!!!

Hi~ya All!

WOW!! I'm so happy to be part of the celebration of our 1 year anniversary of The Cuttlebug Spot. My, how time flies when your'e having fun, and that is exactly what I have been doing for this past year. I can remember when Nilda was starting up the blog, and decided to add a design team. I was so excited since it was my first time trying out for a team. I was e-stactic when I was the first one chosen. How lucky was I. I have to say I have really learned a lot of new techniques, met so many new friend, and I have enjoyed this first year as a team member. We have so much talent here on this design team, everyone has their own style, different takes on the challenges. Thank you Nilda for all your hard work, sharing with us all here on the Cuttlebug Spot. To celebrate our 1 year anniversary, our sponsors are giving away some awesome prizes, be sure to check them out.

Now on to this weeks challenge, since we are going down memory lane, lol we were to go back in time. Our first challenge was "inking" of the folder, so smarty me wanted to use the script folder. I only wanted the script, (raised part) to be inked, which was a challenge in itself. I use q-tips and a tiny brush to get into the grooves of the folder. That way when it is embossed the script is high-lighted. It is much easier if you actually ink the folder with a brayer or ink pad. I also used the Swiss dot folder, and my Spellbinder die "Rose Blossoms". My good friend Glenda has these Spellbinder dies over at Glenda's Creative Place, and she is sponsoring today's prize which is the tulip pendant die. Thank you Glenda! Be sure to visit her site, do a little shopping, and see all she has to offer. BTW, her prices are the best, and she gives all her customers A++++ service. You won't be disappointed at all. Now back to my card, I inked the embossed part of the rose, and sprinkled SU's Dazzling diamonds glitter, which was set with heat and stick powder. The flower florets are popped with dimensionals, and Kaiser pearls finishes it off. I will add a sentiment later as I wasn't sure what I wanted at the time. Well, that is it for me now, I have been working on some goodies, which I will be sharing with you later this week. Be sure to check out our challenge, and play along to win some fabulous prizes. Catcha Soon!

Oh Lillie ~ I have come here twice to comment and something always happened that I could not. I have this beautiful rose die and have yet to use it. Your work as always is so perfectly beautiful! Q-Tips??? Wonderful invention! I will sometimes go to Sally's a hair buying place for hair dressers and get the more solid cotton tips that have a pointed edge...that works great! Thanks for Sharing and I hope you and yours are well!!!
