Candy Canes~Buttons~Bows!!-Holiday

Happy Wed!

Hi~ya All,

How is everyone? Hope all is well, I'm feeling much better today, and as promised I did finish a card. I have been working on this card since Sunday, yes you heard it right. Between my back giving me fits, and deciding to add something different as I go, made this card a long one to complete. This card has layers of cardstock, machine stiching, heat embossing, 3-D images, and a whole lot of details. I'm so glad to be finished, when I was midway thru the card, I decided to detour, I wanted a different font, but couldn't find it in my cartridges that I have. So I remembered that I had bought a Quic-Kutz hand diecut about 2 years ago, and had never used it. That was before Cricut, so I went in my closet and pulled it out. It came with the CK typist mini alphabet set, and the size was just perfect for what I wanted. Oh boy, was I in for some work, I die-cut the alphabets out of 2 different papers, one a printed card stock, and the other printed paper, squeezing that bar. Then I became more creative, used Crystal Effects on those little letters to give it a acrylic look, using tweezers to hold on to them. Lots of work, but I love the end results. This card was one of those that nothing went smooth on, besides being in pain trying to work, I forgot when I was using DS to cut my candy canes, to flip the image for the mirror effect. Then I decided to heat emboss the sentiment inside along with the envelope, so that just added more time. Finally at 3:00 p.m. today, I finished. Well only 4 days, but you don't know how glad I am to be finished.
Hope you enjoy checking it out, because I am glad to move on to something else...
Thanks for looking!

Catcha soon!

Oh Lillie, Lillie...this card is so super fantastic. I just kept looking at it and finding more and more wonderful detail. This should be published! I have a huge line of Quickutz and I love that little die cut system. I take it with me when I go scrapbooking and it is a wonderful thing to have.

WOW!!!! I love this card!!! I know it was a lot of work, but it was sure worth it! One quick little note...if you have a cuttlebug, you can use your quikcutz dies and just roll them through it four at a time! Just use your C plate instead of the B plate. You'll love it! hugs!
